Not Too Poetry

His father gave him the last word.

And, to be clear, the second to last.

In which

He first prayed forgiveness

For those who knew no better.

And, once he knew his job was done,

Once he knew his sacrifice was complete,

He drew a line, settling the matter

Once and for all

And moved on: It is finished.
